Making Computer Literacy in Rural And Urban Areas a Reality
The Dalijay Tech Hub is an after-school program that teaches children and any other IT enthusiast, computer programming skills. Children between ages 5-18 can join any of our coding programs from Schools, Community Centers and Libraries to learn to create computer games, animations, interactive arts, websites and mobile apps. Dalijay Tech Hub was founded by Lawson Dalikey-Dotsey and James Ackah Blay through the Girls in ICT launch at Takoradi Atlantic Hotel in Ghana in 2019. We believe that computer programming and other technical skills is a tool of empowerment and children's future career depends on it. This is the reason why we have formed a team with a mission to ensure that every child and youth particularly girls have access to the skills they need to thrive in our increasingly digital world. We envision a prosperous Ghana in which the next generation has the knowledge and confidence to harness the power of technology to achieve economic and personal fulfillment.
What We Offer
We organize teacher training and support for volunteers and educators to run free, extra-curricular coding clubs for children. We also form robotics and coding clubs in schools and communities. The clubs can be run from a range of venues, that is, from schools, libraries, and community centers. Kids are free to build and share their ideas, learning along the way. The Code Clubs meet during school extracurricular sessions, after school and weekend sessions for at least an hour per day.
Website Development
We provide fun projects, that are easy to follow step-by-step guides, which help children learn HTML & CSS, to build websites. The projects gradually introduce coding concepts to allow children to build their knowledge incrementally.
Mobile Apps Development
Create an astonishing mobile app to solve real world problem. We teach you to leverage on moderm technology in creating mobile app.
Python Development
We will introduce the children to basic python development to advanced for them to become certified python developer and give them a step-by-step approach in learning python with hands-on-project.
